Braeburn joins the world’s largest meeting of global leaders

Once again, Braeburn Whisky was chosen as the whisky partner for a number of events at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

The annual meeting of the World Economic Forum, which took place from January 15th to 19th, in the Swiss town of Davos brought together political, economic and change leaders from all over the world. It was also a meeting point to discuss actions to improve the world and, in the case of the Goals House community of activists, to make progress towards the achievement of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

Braeburn Whisky shares that challenge, and is partnering with Goals House, offering whisky tastings to attendees, as well as a special commemorative bottling distilled from a ‘secret’ cask from an Islay distillery, matured for 13 years and distributed exclusively among those attending the event.

At Davos, Niall Brown, CEO of Braeburn Whisky said: “We are delighted to be here at the World Economic Forum to discuss our approach to sustainable investment. We are strong believers in the potential of whisky casks to deliver steady value to investment portfolios, while also supporting local economies and protecting vital environmental resources. At a time of rapid change, providing sustainable avenues of investment, like whisky casks, will be increasingly essential to meet the targets being discussed by the change makers here at Davos”.

The Founder, and Chairman of Braeburn Whisky’s parent company, Teaghlach Holdings, Edward Davidson, was also present to personally select a fine array of single malt whiskies for a special tasting for attendees at Goals House.

Guests were served some exceptional drams that explored the sustainable side
of whisky, including a 40-year old from the legendary, independent, Speyside distillery Glenfarclas, a B-Corp Certified and organic single malt from Nc’Nean and a rare Yamazaki 18-year old.
